Next Announcement
Re: Next Announcement
Sounds like a wild rumour then. Good! Definitely not for me. There doesn't seem to be many rumours yet so I guess any old band is being mentioned even if they are really not Bloodstock material.

I hope Code Orange are already fully booked for those 5 days
Re: Next Announcement
My guess for replacement headliner is Trivium on the strength of their latest release. Or perhaps Ghost as they're guaranteed to shift to tickets!
Re: Next Announcement
It'd be good to get Ghost back. Trivium... not so much.

Re: Next Announcement
I personally like the new Trivium album but even if it ends up being the best album many people hear all year it makes no difference to their drawing power. The music media and press ditched them long ago and their albums now get released with very little buzz or attention and the Bloodstock audience hasn't changed much since they headlined in 2015 and they proved then that they don't care about them as most went back to the campsite.
As for Ghost, that would be underwhelming for me but unlike Trivium, they're a proven draw and would shift tickets so it wouldn't surprise me.

Ghost?
Trivium?

Trivium?

Re: Next Announcement
I think that come August 2021 I'll be so desperate to chill out at Catton Park for a few days with friends, beer(s), and Yorkshire puddings, that I don't really mind who ends up headlining.

Give Shrapnel a slot too!

Ticket refund cleared today

Re: Next Announcement
Trivium album is very listenable but under no circumstances a BOA headliner
Similarly Jasta`s latest album is OK, although all of which is bettered by the material and the guest vocalists rather than him-Dont want to see him at BOA.
Glam/Hair at BOA? seeing how low Ratt are on bills these days think they would be over the moon headlining The Sophie stage, think they would pull a super crowd also. There is a certain respect factor with classic bands which is why hopefully booking Steel Panther wont ever work and hopefully will never happen.

Re: Next Announcement
Ghost are probably too big for Bloodstock now. They're on course to headline Download eventually.
Re: Next Announcement
Anthrax would be a cracking 3rd headliner, everytime they've played they have blown the headliners away. But probably too soon.
Kreator would be good...

Re: Next Announcement
These suggestions are hardly like for like to replace Behemoth. Dimmu would be much closer in style, if you're talking about previous sub headline acts stepping up.
