"it is easier to ask a ugly chick out than a pretty one as you are less likely to be rejected"

I am not convinced that ugly girls are actually more approachable. I seem to have had absolutely no success with really bad looking girls but that is maybe becuase of lack of trying to speak them.

I have spoken to moderately overweight girls on a few ocasions before with the theory that my chance of sucess was higher and it never gets anywhere. Most of them seem a lot less comfortable with themselves (and speaking to me). It is also possible even more suspicious of your motives if they aren't used to attention.

And with guys not approaching girls.

Some girls don't like being approached by strangers and treat you as if you were about to murder them if you approach them. Sensible precaution in my case but it is stupid if they then go on to complain about nobody ever speaking to them.

It is largely a matter of how friendly someone is. I prefer just to get speaking to someone when I am out, not a fan of chatting up. It is a bit vein when girls assumes every guy who speaks to her is trying to chat her up. My local rock bar is a really friendly place which is great but elsewhere is never as good.

Im actually on 'Match' myself. Its even more gutting when you've had 60+ people view your profile, and not one of them has e-mailed you, or sent a 'wink' or whatever. Am I THAT unattractive? Theres gotta be some likeminded people on there, surely?
It's not exactly a confidence boost, especially since internet dating is seen as a 'last resort' by so many..

I have been fat and ugly- not fun.
Now just ugly but as long as I have some confidence then I do fine.
Ok so I am single and have been for 2 years but still having fun.

It is a tough world when being surrounded by loved up people (especially as I was the only single person at the wedding last sat) and with my mum going on at me that I need a guy.

But why?

Having fun just doing what I like when I like.
Don't think I have any spare time for a guy really.
