Waking this morning to find the gf's cat cwtched up against my legs on our airbed. The bloody queen only comes near me when she wants feeding and no-one else is around.
Some drunken Taff at Cardiff station telling me I look like Michael Boulton was oddly amusing.

There might not be a lot where you are...but it's still snowing down here. All the buses are cancelled and all the schools closed.
Re: What made you Lol Today?
that's so moronic, there was over a metre of snow in some places in the Alps when I was there earlier this year, they manage to cope fine. So does Canada, Alaska, Siberia, Scandinavia.. We get a tiny flurry here and the nation goes into meltdown.
Re: What made you Lol Today?
We were in Finnland waiting for a flight to the UK, and it was delayed as there was snow in the UK and it was late leaving England.
The funny bit was was that there was loads of snow where we were and the country was running fine. It was proper snow there (no idea where the roads were and where the pavements were, and it was really thick and really fast and half the time you could not see) the snow over here just looks like a front row of a saxon gig.

I'm stuck at home. No trains or buses from where I live so can't get into to work. Not seen anything like this in the 15 years I've lived in London.

Not really, its hardly comparable - those countries get huge snowfalls for months every year, so its infastructure has to cope, otherwise they would shut down for the winter. Comparing us to Canada when this tiny flurry is the worst for 18 years is a bit silly.

it may be the worst for 18 years, but it's still utterly ridiculous
a few years ago, there was barely an inch of snow on the ground. I needed to get the bus to college.
Because of there being barely an inch of snow on the ground, all buses were cancelled.
that is how retarded this country is when it comes to weather

Erm, we had well over a foot here down south. An overnight foot of snow isn't something you just shrug off if that's more or less your snowfall for the next five years.
