This is a long (but hilarious in parts) read, espcially for Dwarf Fortress players:

I've never actually read Boatmurdered. It was on my todo list this summer, but.. I got distracted.

Ah well, no time like the present.

So you play DF too?

I don't as it goes- my friend Andy does, and always tells me humorous things about it (i.e his Dwarf that kept murdering all the mongooses (or something liek that) and leaving them on the beds)

I'd love to give it a try, but it looks really confusing.

I have decided to buy a PS3 in preparation for Heavy Rain next year. It looks awesome.

Fable 2 is brilliant, i'm around half way through Dead Space now and it's brilliant!

Both good games, prefer Fable 2.

Trying to decide what to get next, or 'borrow' from work once we get some decent trade-ins.

Might have to blast through Wolfenstein just for the hell of it.

Try it with a different tileset. Mayday is the tileset I personally use, and it makes the game so much easier to understand. There's still a steep learning cliff, but once you understand the basics you'll be able to make better and better fortresses. :)

Yes, yes it does. Still, for me there's only about three games (including heavy rain) that I particularly want to play that are PS3 exclusive.

There's a few I'd like to get, plus I still need to play Resident Evil 5. I know its out on the PC this month, but RE is one of those rare games (and take note here people because I almost never say this) thats better on a console than on the PC.

Thanks man. I'll give it a go sometime. I've picked up a fair bit of knowledge...i.e don't go near Carp.

Fable 2 is far too short and buggy as hell (although I believe they have since released a patch) and the DLC is one of the biggest rip-offs ever as well.
Despite that, it is still one of the more entertaining releases I've played recently.

Fable2, over-hyped....and it fucking failed...also....fable3 is coming out...i would rather play in traffic than watch the hype grow on that game.

I've only had carp once. It's not something I want to repeat.
