Heh. It's fun being that way ain't it?
And by fun I mean soul crushing.

It sure is! Nothing curling up in a ball and having a crywank can't solve though.

I've always said that.

Nah, I did. I'm kinda used to it, having weak joints mean my shoulder dislocates randomly

sigh, once again the fact I'm going to York is causing rifts and upsets.
I know 4 hours is far away, but it is manageable... right?

Long distance isn't thaaaat hard as long as one of you doesn't go all insane about it.

7-8 month relationship with someone who lived in East Anglia. That was around 4 hours away. Its do-able as long as both of you put in the effort, affording travel is a little harder though

I personally wouldn't start seeing anyone properly who lived over an hour away, or involved more than one train change.

Unless they were really special (and not in a spastic way)

That's just me being lazy though.

In fact if there was a big hill between the train station and their bedroom I probably wouldn't bother either.

My friend's boyfriend lives many hundereds of miles away (in the south no less  ), and spends half the time she's away from him brooding and complaining, and the time she spends with him (week or so at a time) acting like a ditzy blonde.
On the plus side (I guess) the distance has made the relationship incredible durable. Surviving half the year on phone calls and instant messaging conditions you to expect less I suppose.
