Seriously though, echo your sentiments totally regarding the Ghandi quote - world truely would be so much better if there was more tolerance and less interference. People should be free to live their lives as they wish, provided that they do not harm or cause distress to any other living thing ( the earth included! )
As regards plants have feelings, one of the characteristics of all living things is sensitivity ie react to certain stimulus, plants included ( hence they grow towards the light). But, as for having nerves and a central processor ( or brain) that will register pain....I have never heard or seen evidence for that. Ok...taking teacher hat off now...
