The SG tends to be absolutely horrific on weighting, often very neck heavy. After 40 years, Gibson can't seem to get it right. My V, however, sits perfectly.

Yeah, but that ended up being a bonus for me when we were playing. Got it out of the way of my arm space to reach the mic. Place we played gave me a nice broken mic stand that was too high up, so I had to keep pulling the mic down towards me between strumming away

I just found it comfortable to play.

I really want to get a 12 string. They have such a lovely sound to them

I struggle playing 6 strings , let alone 12

With this one, imagine a regular sized fretboard, make it a bit narrower, then add 6 more strings. It's really difficult to play, but when you get it right, you get your reward. It doesn't half sing a bit
