I don't make the rules on whether figures of speech make any sort of sense

Yeah, was just thinking out loud, still pretty odd though.

And you've now got me thinking about the implications of the people I have platonic relationships with turning out to be frigid homosexual misogynistic paedophiles.

Yeah, its a slow day at work

Maybe that's the point, that someone with all those niche interests isn't going to be interested in anyone in the normal sense. /hmmmm
Still, keep an eye out just to be safe. If they start wearing togas and insist on a prostitute playing the flute during every meal, then probably best to do something about it.

Interesting stat, care to explain how you came to that conclusion?

Of course it's a slight exaggeration, but it's founded on the fact that there's around 8 or 9 couples on these forums, including yourself and motor amarth so stop intentionally trying to pick apart all of my posts Aled.

Probably should have worded it better to begin with then?

To be fair, Dan, that's a colossal exaggeration, especially considering that most of the couples are relatively more recent additions to the forum. Then again, that may be an equally large exaggeration. Who knows?

There's easily more bitter single bastards than forum couples ;)

Firstly, I said exaggeration, a concept lost on some people it seems  secondly, it's to do with the amount that I have learned about, at least a good 4 within one week, suggesting a growing increase on the number of couples

Or you're just not paying attention? The ones I know of have been together since the dawn of time, it seems. I've no idea how many have been longer than a year (at least one have, as they've posted recently saying how long it's been - congrats to you two) but they've certainly been longer than a week. The number hasn't grown that much - so exaggerating seems a bit silly.
But as Hannah said..

I'm just sick of hearing about it along with all the continuous soppy comments on different threads.

GET A FUCKING ROOM!

Or go on MSN/FB/Myspace/in person/on the phone and spraff all that lovey dovey shit there, the rest of us don't wanna know how great you think each other are! Great you've found someone via this lovely forum, but doesn't mean you have to clog up it up with gooey barfable comments.

I am also amused.

i didn't meet fibbly through the forum but joined up and started posting after I met her.

To be honest, if it wasnt so fucking hillarious, id be sick of reading apparent tales of woe that this thread gets in spades. Why if you didnt want to read about peoples relationships you would read this thread is beyond me

This thread should be renamed the "Relationship Fail Thread", as that's what the majority of the posts seem to be about...

On that note: 18 months for us next week :D

I think she meant people who go on about it in different threads all the time, of which some people do go a bit over the top with at times.

Although I read this thread for a mixture of wanting to help/laughter/learning from others mistakes

It's not this thread that I'm grumbling about. If it was just kept in here, then that'd be fine, but it isn't. So bored of hearing about it... *falls asleep*
