Strategy guide for Starcraft 2 makes me laugh.
http://www.somethingawful.com/d/news/starcraft-unit-strategy.php

So yeah, anyone actually bothered with Starcraft then? Right up until launch day I was under the impression it was an MMO. Like, people were making all kinds of comparisons to WoW and saying it was 'WoW in space' and that there were classes and shit. As far as I can tell that was complete bullshit. Yet if Cataclysm is anything to go by Blizz don't mind letting people know all about the game before it comes out so it's not like it was speculation or anything, they were just being retarded fanboys.

Personally, I'm waiting for the other two thirds of the game to come out.

Really? Is that the thing I heard about having to 'buy a new expansion to play as each class' (as the warcraft forums put it, they can't speak any other language than MMO).

I suppose it's the logical advancement of having the odd alternate costume cut for DLCs; having entire sections of the game cut for DLCs. :|

Yeah, Blizzard's thing was "Oh, each campaign is going to be so long and in-depth that we'll be releasing each race's campaign a year apart. And knowing our usual pricing structure, you're going to pay full price for one game three times and YOU CAN'T GET THIS GAME USED BECAUSE OF ONLINE ACTIVATION HAHAHAHA SUCKERS!"

Which leads to the fact they've apparently not finished the other two.

Which further leads to the question of WHAT THE FLUFFY BLUE FUCK HAVE BLIZZARD BEEN DOING FOR THE LAST 11 YEARS OTHER THAN SCRATCHING THEIR BALLS AND EXPONENTIALLY INCREASING THE SIZE OF ELF-EARS EVERY HOUR OR SO?!

...And I'm not just bitter because the Protoss campaign is two years away. Honest.

On the upside, Youtube tells me that the music is still awesome.

Wow, that's really pretty lame. Although if the campaigns are mega awesome (a longshot considering the hype and all that) then maybe a good thing?

I'll be keeping an eye out I think.

I was playing Left 4 Dead 2 earlier and got sold down the river by fellow survivors, as soon as I heard the helicopter I ran off to where I expected it to land and get grabbed by a smoker and gang raped as the others just sat on the helicopter and waited until I died :(

It WOULD be awesome, except for the fact that if I know Blizzard, each campaign will require each previous expansion. Meaning that people will probably be paying somewhere in the region of £80-90 for one game.

I think you'll find people were saying it's WARCRAFT in space, not WoW.

Each campaign is supposed to be a full game, i.e. 30+ missions each. So, if they do that, I'd have no problem paying the full price for three games for...well, three FULL games.

Fair point.

I may get round to some UT3 later.... Or maybe some Guild Wars.

Do those suffice for you sir?

Ah, Makes much more sense. Derp. Although I never cared much for them tbh.
