Re: Computer Games Thread
I'm very much re-addicted to Oblivion again. I had no idea that doing that quest for the arena grand champion meant you would be forced to kill him in, cold blood in the arena while he pleads for you to kill him and refuses to fight. I was looking forward to a hard fight since his level was offset 3 levels above mine, a very hollow victory

THAT GAME WAS AMAZING!!!
EDIT: Just re-installed it.
Also, after 70ish turns I finally managed to ally with the British, Dutch and Russians in my Indian Campaign on Empire: TW
Would've allied with Sweden and the Ottomans too, but they are enemies with Russia

Fucking dark anima
Fixed! I beat it once though, with the aid of a cheat disk. Still took me several goes and about half an hour on the successful run.
Rest of the dark aeons got fairly easy after many hundreds of hours maxing out the sphere grid.
In other news, I've got my PS2 back! Bought new(ish) games for it.
SSX
SSX 3
Soul Calibur 2
Soul Calibur 3
Colin McRea Rally 3
Gran Turismo 4.
Oh gaming, how I have missed thee
If it sounds good, listen to it

Re: Computer Games Thread
Dark Anima is the only dark aeon that I one hit killed first time
By this axe I rule
Re: Computer Games Thread
I've never one-hit killed any of the dark aeons. Yojimbo always seems to want to automatically use Wakizashi every single bloody time I call him up against them, only to get killed by them on their turn.
Idiot.
Idiot.

Re: Computer Games Thread
One of my mates killed Penance, although he didn't turn up to Uni for about 2 weeks.
I only killed the first one (can't remember it's name) so I could get its second limit break

WRC 2010 is looking good, the last one on the PS2 was better than McCrae and tbh with the more off road and extreme racing style of the recent games, i'm looking forward to some traditional rallying again

If you've not played it on multiplayer I suggest you do so right now. It's soooooo good. The moment we realised that you can mark targets through walls using sonar was a revelation.
Mark four targets each from the other side of a door, burst in, use the portable EMP, and use execute. = one dead room.

I was hoping to pick up Conviction from CEX last time I went in, but they didn't have any copies in, so I thought I'd get Double Agent and finish it (I rented it from lovefilm last year, but gave up on it) ...I forget how frustrating it actually is! Doing better at the moment though.

Best game evar!
I <3 Allegra.
I started playing San Andreas an hour or so ago. The old analog sticks seem so clunky in my hands now. And un-hd graphics are horrible on the eyes. PS1 graphics look better. Perhaps because I've had the PS2 era to get used to shitty PS1 graphics .
