After a week spent visiting my brother and his family I am now back home. Now I love my brother and his two daughters are possibly the cutest little girls in the Midlands but it's till nice to be back in my own place.

Back from a lovely week with my Mum, and Alex is here tonight and for the rest of the weekend.

Also, my cat is currently asleep on my knee

what made me happy? finally realising i need to help myself. first step is the hardest and all that.

Went to the gym after work to put in a quick 5k on the treadmill. There were plenty of spare machines but about halfway through my run a decent-looking lass in good shape went on the one next to me. For my last hundred metres I sped up to about 15km/h, almost a full sprint for me. I wouldn't consider this particularly impressive over my headphones I heard her say "WOW!"

Of course, I'm a tit and didn't say anything back or even look at her but that made my day.
