The higher ups in my work are being a shower of cunts.

As mentioned before I drive from Glasgow to Edinburgh for work, about 1.5 hours and I don't charge, as travel to base office has to be solved by the employee, that's fine. They now want me to work 3 days a week at the other side of Edinburgh and have no available parking, rather than subsidise me for the train (£20 a day for the train? Fuck. That) they've asked me to drive to work then get the train from there an they will pay for the extra.

That's all well and good but when, due to train times, this has the potential to easily increase my travel time to 2.5 hours each way. Yet that's not an issue for them (why should they give a fuck).

The thing is I didn't choose to move back to Glasgow, unforseen circumstances have forced me to, which is probably why I'm pissed off at the entire situation - absolutley hee-haw has gone well for me and my girlfriend this year :(

My revised "I am actually going to uni this year" pay schedule came through.

It's distinctly lower than other years. Is this normal for third years, or have they fucked up and given me the maintence loan that doesn't take parents finances into account?

Normal. After getting the year abroad extra I got last year it's a shock to the system :(

Work from home when you can, and show that you can get an extra 3-5 more hours done per day.

Stuck at home keeping an eye on mother, who's still not well. This past week and a bit has been so endlessly boring and frustrating because of her being ill and I'm free to keep an eye. >.<

I wish I could, there's absolutley no scope to work from home on my roles, surprisingly enough the Government get a bit antsy when you try and access their servers from your home

They have some overly-complex VPN setup to let you access GSi - or at least I've seen some civil servants use it (they even asked me, a non-Government software developer back then to help troubleshoot, wtf?).

My brother did that for a good 10 years or so. Really fucking easy money once you get into the swing of it, apparently.

Work is so utterly fucking boring at the moment! There's barely 1000 people in a day, if we're lucky, and everyone's just going out of their mind with boredom. It's so bad at the moment that I'm actually looking forward to the October half-term!

An Indian twunt as checked in a file into source control that was in conflict. It's a 5000 line XML file with 125 differences. Fucked if I'm trawling through both files merging the changes.

You'll only appreciate what I mean when you've worked with eejits and source control.

Been sneezing all day. Supposed to work from home to finish a project, but I've been playing civ all day instead.
