Almost finished the winter king :D
Saw a book in WH Smiths today, "The Bones of Avalon" (Can't remember who by and CBA to look it up) which I have added to my Christmas list. Thought it looked like something up my street and the reviews seem ok...

Ooo, what did you think of it? :)

I'm still reading Dune, haven't got much further as I usually read in bed before sleeping, and I've been knackered the last week or so - more to be read on the bus to work today! :)

I've found it hard to put down, which is always a good sign ;)
Good job I'm on half term because I can just devour it. Like you I read before bed, and when I'm at work I have a tendency to go to bed and be out like a light.

Started Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. Cool stuff so far.
"Are you there, beloved one?
I clench our whisper to the fading...
Will you help me carry on,
And lead me through the sunrise?
Lead me through the sunrise..."

Now, I think I may have to read the David Gemmell Troy book I've had sat on the shelf for yonks. I haven't got round to spending the book voucher work got me for my birthday yet, so I need a quick solution!

Just an observation but the leverage poll to curb on that bit would break that horse's jaw :( I won't bore you with the conformation ratio between leg and back length but will just tell you it would be like riding an ironing board.

I hate it when people draw horses with no regard to their actual structure- four legs one on each corner, a head and a tail, does not a war horse make.

It's not just me, hooray!

Although, I'm out of practice drawing horses, so mine would probably be along those lines now. Used to have it down though
