Stayed up until about 3am reading "Want to Play?" by P.J Tracy last night.
It's one of those books that you know what's coming but you're still surprised when it does because it's described so well

Started reading The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson, it's a very enjoyable book but I am going to have to slow down my reading it until the next two get here

On a similar note, I've just finished Lord of the Rings. Seriously, they would have rid the world of evil twice as fast if they hadn't been singing half the bloody time

Nearly finished with Changes (The Dresden FIles) by Jim Butcher. As usual it's ace.

Just finishing Night by Elie Wiesel. Incredible but painful reading.

Currently reading The Horus Heresy - Fallen Angels by Mike Lee. It's book 11 in a series that goes into depth the history of the Warhammer 40k universe (go geeky me!) by telling the story of when the galaxy went tits up from the views of all the different main players. Very good.

This book is a second one covering the Dark Angels chapter of Spacemarines and at this point they are aware of the rebellion taking place. It's all about to kick off y0!

OH's mum has got me the second Robin Hobb book from the new trilogy :D
Can't wait to start reading it, though thinking about it I'm not 100% sure how the last one ended

To avoid the suspense, I've decided to not start reading the trilogy untiil all three have been published.

I was bought some books by an author I used to read alot by. Peter Lovesey, who specialises in crime stories and the like. Thoroughly enjoyed the books id read till now, and even if the last book I read was when I was 17, my opinion hasnt changed. He's still churning out top class books.

Well I did read the Doom book when I was 21, but that doesnt count. I was nerding out.

John Shaner/ Al Ramrus - The Ludendorff Pirates.

Gang of British commandoes set out to hijack a battleship. Belongs to a species of WW2 derring-do tale that seems to have gone extinct by about 1992.

I thought the second one was even better, and that's certainly no detriment to the first one :)

Still on with the Wheel of Time. You know things aren't going well when you're reading the aforementioned archaeology book for light relief :P

I'm not entirely sure my reasoning is any good as to reading it again - sure, I've got book 12 to read and by the time I get to it book 13 will probably be in paperback, so I can buy and read that. But by the time A Memory of Light comes out, I'll have most likely forgotten most of it and will have to do this again.

What an awful thought
