Saw the story this morning about
the scandal at the WJEC, didn't surprise me since I thought a few teachers sometimes knew a bit too much about exams.
But now I've just seen
the video, and it's my old history teacher (first guy in the video) who's doing it!
When I was doing GCSE and A Level history it was open knowledge that he was also involved in writing the papers, and it was common sense that he'd not focus on teaching something that he knew would never come up, so it does give an unfair advantage for someone to be able to both write the paper and prepare students for it. I never suspected him of actually breaking any rules. But there were others at that school who weren't in the same position of writing the papers that seemed to know more than they should (and teaching different subjects, so it can't have come from him).
Obviously this is probably very wrong, but I'm struggling to condemn him because he was a fucking ace teacher and a proper sound guy.
