They were all inferior to the Thief games anyway.

Been playing a lot of GTA4 recently.
It's actually great fun. And for the first time I care about the lead character. Plus your guns don't get nicked when you go to hospital. And after rejecting him the first time, I haven't been invited to go bowling since.
Though I did play pool with the massive stoner because he gives me fun missions.
I'm onto the Playboy missions now. I skipped Brucie. He annoys the shit outta me.

GTA4 is great once you become accustomed to the slow as fuck running. After a few days playing it you've forgotten that any other video game character would annihilate Niko in a race and you can enjoy the game.
That's my only criticism of it. The people who cry because it's all serious can get fucked. Niko is funnier than any other GTA character too.

I meant of the main characters. Obviously Lazlow is better.

I just couldn't get into GTA IV at all. I really tried, but ended up flogging it for a fiver. Saints Row 3 is much more the game I hoped it'd be.

At first I thought he was actually Ahans, aged 76. What a dude that would have been.

Playing as The Western Empire on Rome Total War Barbarian invasion is rather hard, i'm doing alright though, forcing everyone to be Christian has made it a lot harder though haha.

Re: Computer Games Thread
i would say im a somewhat serious gamer, certainly not casual, and i couldnt get into GTA IV either. i tried twice and got bored. the lost and damned kept me entertained longer but i didnt complete it.
Re: Computer Games Thread
At the start when you have to sit through "LOL TAXI MISSIONS" it's kinda mundane, but after that it gets pretty good.

Over 40 hours a week I consider serious/hardcore, due to it being the same as a full time job, i've been under 40 quite a bit recently, but there have been plenty of times in the past where i've done over 100

Re: Computer Games Thread
i think i definitely qualify then
on another note, UFC undisputed 3 demo is out, and its wonderful. added and amateur control scheme to make grappling easier for those who wish to use it, simplified submissions and made it easier to see if you were at least close or not, and striking feels much more fluid. only got to boot a guy in the face once on pride mode but it was glorious
also, it infuriates me how much better i am at modern sonic than classic sonic in sonic generations.
