The Wrestling Thread
Re: The Wrestling Thread
The rumble was shit. loads of Lol entrants and a handful of proper ones. A massive anti-climax to it all too.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Pretty much all of the other matches were pretty underwhelming.
The Rumble itself provided for plenty of entertainment though, and a fair few surprises, despite it being fairly average. Didn't expect it to finish the way it did though.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
the wwe title match had some ok bits, overall the undercard was fairly boring. the rumble match itself, i loved every second. so much better than last year, had no idea who was going to win and the suspense at the end was killing me. shows how limited wwe's roster is now though, half of them werent regular roster members.
Re: The Wrestling Thread
The Rumble was brilliant. Not a bad match on the card bar the Divas and the Rumble match was one of the better ones. Unexpected winner, Kharma, genuine comedy moments and plenty of old faces coming back for another go at it.
Bravo.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Apparently she dropped earlier this month but I can't find any mention of it. They'd have brought her in for the token manly Diva entrant though now I suppose she'll be off for a while yet.
WWE loves winding up the IWC.
Jericho comes back, everyone expects him to win and instead they put Sheamus over the top instead. It's brilliant.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
the best thing is, the rumble winner is one of at least 4 wrestlemania main eventers, jericho can still get in there, or even win MITB, or face undertaker. theres plenty he can do, he didnt need the win. and now everyone is assuming it will be sheamus vs bryan. i dont get why, the title can still change hands between now and wrestlemania
Re: The Wrestling Thread
People seriously think that Bryan will walk out of the Elimination Chamber the champion? Hahaha. Yeah right. It'll be something like Orton/Barrett/Sheamus in a triple threat at WM I reckons. Sheamus is good anyway, I don't get the problem.

wwe are master trolls. must have been annoyed at everyone guessing jericho was coming back, cause he was gonna win the royal rumble until it got leaked that he was booked to win it.

Danielson can literally make any match good
And Sheamus has been kicking ass the past 12 months, well deserved in my eyes

Re: The Wrestling Thread
A few one-off appearances are par for the course now in the Rumble, and they're pretty much there as filler anyway and get eliminated straight away (Duggan and The King this year especially, and in both the last 2 Booker T really should have gotten a better showing) but Road Dogg's run in it this year was the highlight of the whole PPV for me

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Undercard matches, a bit meh.
Though Bryan did some damn good work to keep the Henry/Show match interesting.
The rumble itself?
Pure gold.
Every single second.
Totally thrown off by the winner though.
I originally thought Cody because he was responsible for eliminating just about every popular face character so it'd build him into a better heel.
And then it came down to Show/Orton/Sheamus/Jericho.
So I assumed Orton.
And then it came down to the final.
And it was just 10 minutes of me actually gasping and being on edge the entire time.
Great rumble, not so great PPV.
Oh, and it provided the greatest moment in Wrestling history.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Fuck me Raw was good. Bryan/Punk was amazing, and it set up Y2J/Punk for Mania which is great, and of course the return of Taker just for HHH to leave the ring signalling he doesn't want to fight him again. Even Cena was entertaining tonight, kicking the crap out of Kane, i'm interested to see them have a Last Man Standing or whatever they have at the Chamber.
