Scorpions or Judas Priest for 2015

Postby metaldinosaur » Sat Sep 20, 2014 9:52 pm

Both bands are legends, both would be Ideal for Bloodstock headliner and both are on tour next year, but clearly only one can be booked! So which one should it be?

Okay, here is my take.

First off I expect Priest to win, Judas Priest would be a massively popular announcement, this much is clear. Their bigger in the UK than Scorps, Metal as fuck, anthem filled and double Awesome, but...

I feel that Scorpions would be the more special choice. They don't really play the UK anymore and a full UK tour next year is only a very remote possibility at best. Priest on the other hand will be all over the big city's in 2015, of this we can be sure. So I Vote Scorps, as it may well be the last chance we get to see them, and though there not as big, their booking will have a colossal rarity factor and for myself (and many others) who haven't had the chance to catch them live, that booking would pretty much force me to make ticket purchase for Bloodstock.

Scorpions For 2015... Priest for 2016! (obviously)

What do you think?

I think that Priest are much more likely seeing as they are playing festivals in the summer. Including the week before Bloodstock. :P

Not going on personal choice, just being realistic.

Indeed, Priest are by far the more realistic of the two, but I'm not asking who is the most likely. I just want to find out to what extent people would want the rarity of Scorpions, even over a almost universally popular almost perfect headliner like Priest.

Easily Scorpions for me, I prefer them and I've already seen Priest anyway. Possible we'll get both I guess, but probably more likely we'll get neither and end up with someone shit instead.
BANDS I LIKE FOR BLOODSTOCK!!!

would prefer Scorpions, but think Priest are more appropriate for the festival and indeed are more likely.

I wouldn't watch either but Judas Priest would be good for the festival and have been requested the most over the years so i wouldn't be upset if they were booked.

Although the forum seems have settled on the idea of Judas Priest playing, I don't think it's going to happen. And I'm 100% sure that Scorpions won't happen. Who would I prefer? I went for Scorpions on the grounds that they're the more likely of the two to retire, and this is probably the last chance we have for them to play.

I consider the pair of them to have invented heavy metal between them, so both bands would be more than welcome at Bloodstock. I'd be surprised if we see either any time soon, though.
